‘Love is War’ is a finely woven tale.

The Plot: Love is War movie by Inkblot and produced by Omoni Oboli is a finely woven tale. On the surface its a tale about love and the not so attractive parts of romantic relationships people hardly showcase on social media.

It also highlights facets of socio-political ills in the society and encourages a well construed version of women empowerment.

What works

The Cast: The key cast of this movie made it work. Richard Mofe Damijo’s character Dimeji Phillips is interpreted with subtle and effortless finesse. A perfect lover. I mean, what woman/ actress will not relish being RMD’s love interest in a movie?

His chemistry with Omoni Oboli’s character,Hankuri Philips was so beautiful that i began to ship them! Oboli’s character is a fine blend of grace, wits, strength and vulnerability.

Other veterans in the movie like, Jide Kosoko, Akin Lewis and Bimbo Manuel also performed well by serving unexpected hot and cynical humor.

What’s doesn’t

A few loose ends in the story line that made some scenes easy to predict.

Love is War is beautiful movie, one of Omoni’s best work till date and on a scale of 100, We will rate it at 70.

Beauty is a universal phenomenon and in a sense subject to contextual interpretations. It is reflected in moments and arts; the very core of Haute Esthetics. Haute Esthetics is a feel-good blog that aims at showcasing beauty through fashion, luxe, entertainment, and lifestyle. I am Omo and i am optimally optimistic with a flair for beautiful things.
